Today...8 of my Production Music Cues have gone 'live' on the Organic Music Library Website!

Latest Placements

The Ireland based company Muziko have now taken two of my recent cues:-
"Heading West" and "Mexican Plains" on a non-exclusive arrangement.
They are really fast at both listening to and posting material....highly recommended!

Orchestral Cues

Continuing working on orchestral cues for various media, using the recently acquired software.
Tons of competition out there...but also a growing demand.
The more cues one composes the more chance one stands with placements!

Yesterday Software Install

Hi Folks,
Yesterdays software installation took 6 HOURS!!!!!!
Well worth the wait though and also a reminder that I need to get a faster disc drive in my computer.

Today finishing off new Cue...sounding lovely!

New Software Installation

Another day in the studio...today I am installing new software, mega size..so taking hours to load as usual.
Can't wait to use the new software when it finally finishes loading!

Acoustic Guitar Sounds

The new cue started this week features the excellent nylon acoustic guitar sound supplied by the Independence Player from Yellow Tools.
When controlled and played in the right way, it's quite a convincing instrument, really nicely recorded.
Could do with a bit more "finger on strings" noise...but on the whole..lovely!

Found this interesting site on the inter web thingy and looked good so....
Peewee has joined the Independent Media Pros!
Useful looking site, with valuable info and even work opportunities.
It's amazing what resources are out there if you look hard enough!

Bristol Music Foundation

Alot of major Tv and film companies are based in Bristol, which is fairly close to where I live,so I thought it would be a good idea to join the Bristol Music Foundation.
Hopefully it will be a good opportunity to do some networking!

Their website is excellent and the uploading process is quick and easy.
I will definately be sending them more cues in future!
Back to composing!

Studio Back in Action

Well...after a few days and some lovely work by the carpet fitters...the studio is now back in action and I'm eager to get back into the swing of things.
Have had a few requests to supply cues to some new production music libraries, so will commence next week with these.


Am also working as un-official music director of a new stage version of the very famous film "The Wickerman"
Won't take up too much of my time...but should be good fun.

Studio Refit

Painting stage will be finished today..with carpet-layers coming in on Wednesday..Hoorah!
Thursday will be.."Put equipment back day and rewire etc" so back to status quo by Friday if all goes to plan.
Hate interrupting work...but it's got to be done!

Valleys and Vistas

Hello World...
My latest offering is up on Soundcloud.."Valleys and Vistas"..Quite a perky uplifting track I hope, and the last track for a short while, whilst we update the studio with more mains sockets and new carpet etc.
Hopefully the disruption won't last too long and I can be back in action soon!

Yellow Tools Independence Free

Have just downloaded "Independence Free" by Yellow Tools, a software sampler along the lines of Kontakt.
It's not as stable on my system as Kontakt Player, but some of the sample library is interesting, especially the ethnic percussion and the acoustic guitar, but as it's free, one can't complain!
The quality of the sampling is first-class...well done to Yellow Tools!

Samba Funk

Hello again,
The latest addition to my Production Music is now finished and up on my Soundcloud.
It features funky samba rhythm track with added Bouzouki.
Simple track I think, but nice groove! Hope you agree.
Although autumn has arrived...it has a very 'summery' feel.
Hope my publishers like it too!

Studio Funk

A couple of days ago, I revamped an old rhythm track I had archived on my system.
It's really worth checking out some oldish sketches now and again..because there should be very little wastage of ideas..they just need reworking properly or put into the right context.
The above mentioned rhythm track has a really nice funky groove which is now accompanied by, of all things, Bouzouki!
Will continue the funk on Monday!

Social Networks

Have just extended my social networks to include Twitter and Tumblr.
It has become more and more important for people in business to have a good presence on the web, I only hope I can find the time to keep them all updated!

Tribal Meeting

Today finished the piece "Tribal Gathering"..I was going to write music inspired by African Landscapes...but somehow Aborigines came into the picture and now it's a meeting of them with Massai Warriors.
Funny how some tunes turn out!
